GCYSL's Concussion Awareness, Prevention, and Management Policy requires players and parents to be up-to-date on concussion awareness and prevention, and return-to-play procedures. The following items are required prior to registering your child:
CSC Concussion Awareness and Management Policy for Coaches
Every CSC soccer coach is required to have concussion awareness and management training to identify and prevent concussions as well as what steps are necessary for athletes to return-to-play after concussion. The Gloucester City Youth Soccer League requires all coaches and assistant coaches to take the CDC "Heads up Concussion in Youth Sports" which is a free on line training course. Coaches are also required to review CSC's Return-to-Play Policy. Upon completion of the CDC Heads Up Concussion in Youth Sports course and review of CSC's Return-to-Play guidelines coaches must acknowledge completion and review by filling out the acknowledgement form on the left or Click Here.
